Overview

Basic Purpose:

The Manager, National Accounts, Channel Sales leads the creation, alignment, and successful execution of customer business plans for the Convenience Store and Value Channels network of customers in order to achieve desired business results. A successful candidate will fully utilize the resources of the enterprise (company + agency partners) to accelerate profitable growth (distribution, pricing, sales, share) in these highly incremental channels aligned with Hain’s objectives & goals.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering volume, distribution, trade, share and profit goals/objectives for the Convenience Store and Value Channels (Dollar Stores / Discount Retailers).
  • Lead the creation, alignment & execution of customer business plans for the Convenience Store and Value Channels business to accelerate profitable growth, partner with the agency partner to present and implement directly with key accounts
  • Partners effectively with cross functional stakeholders to deliver consistently strong results
  • Creates and commercializes joint business plans with key accounts
  • Manages agency partner relationships to drive alignment, priorities & to execute best in class customer plans with excellence
  • Manages the trade investments systems, forecasts and budgets to maximize execution & results
  • Assists with other projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum five years’ experience in a Sales capacity within a Consumer Packaged Goods Company, Distributor or Broker Network environment or related role.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversees agency partners assigned to these Channels

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Executive presence with relevant channels experience and strong command of the business
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lead change and execute on strategic direction
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas
  • Self-motivated and strong analytical / problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively
  • Must have conflict resolution skills that drive alignment and clear action steps
  • Working knowledge and understanding of customer/wholesaler/distributor/retailer strategies
  • Ability to interpret account specific data — and translate into relevant information/material
  • Previous supervisory experience and leading agency partners is beneficial
  • Ability to empower, motivate and inspire the team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, marketing or equivalent
  • Ability and desire to travel
  • Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of the Consumer Product Goods Industry
