Who You Are: You are an experienced business systems professional with in-depth knowledge of business processes and business system analysis techniques and someone who understands the needs of a modern, high-growth, fully remote team. You’ll have a passion for analytical thinking and finding technical solutions to business process challenges.
The Task At Hand: The Business System Analyst is responsible for using their knowledge of software programs and business strategies to maximize productivity and communication. This role will examine existing and new systems for improvement, report common issues, evaluate company performance, document current business processes and related technology, and recommend new system procedures and/or applications.
In This Role, You Will:
• Implement, evaluate, and design information systems technology and operations systems in support of network, communications, and core business functions
• Assist in the selection and recommendation of company software applications
• Evaluate end-user needs, budgets, and existing applications to define system requirements and technical standard
• Responsible for drafting user guides and beta testing pre-release systems
• Work heavily in the company’s ERP system (SAGE X3 ERP) to update and modify the current structure to improve performance and add efficiencies
• Ensures optimal performance of ERP system
• Troubleshoots ERP-related issues and monitors ERP systems security
• Function as the main contact between the company and ERP consultants (VAR) as needed
• Support existing Business Intelligence (BI) applications, including data analysis, reporting, and data visualization. The current BI tool is Sage SEI (Sage Enterprise Intelligence)
• Collect internal customer BI requirements and develop related reporting solutions
• Research and recommend alternative BI solutions
• Assess and recommend the implementation of a Document Management System
• Identify and coordinate needed training on company systems to ensure maximum benefits are realized
• Consult stakeholders across the entire organization to identify business and technology needs and optimize the use of information technology
• Project management software system implementation including coordinating meetings, developing a project plan, maintaining the project budget, and evaluating overall success.
• Assist with the delivery and operation of IT services by monitoring and measuring systems performance, software development projects, ongoing support & maintenance activities
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of systems policies and procedures
• Participate in the review of controls and procedures
• Provide technical support to company users as required
• Support other tasks as requested
Must Haves:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent relevant field
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a business systems analyst
• Excellent understanding of computer systems, cloud technologies, security, network and systems administration, data management, reporting and analytics, and telecommunications systems
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate with internal teams and external vendor partners
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills; strategic thinker with the ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently
• Advanced knowledge of Sage ERP X3/SEI, EDI and Tableau is preferred
• Highly analytical mindset
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms
• Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter

Compensation:
• Full-time, Salaried Exempt
• The anticipated salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $110,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
