In this role, you will:
 The Logistic Specialist reports directly to the Customer Service and Logistics Manager and will be responsible for all warehousing, distribution, and materials logistics activities across the Supply Chain. Working with cross-functional teams, this role will align with supply plans, and manage distribution while minimizing supply chain risks to avoid any potential for supply disruption due to logistics constraints The position will collaborate with operations and third-party carriers to optimize our logistics for speed, cost, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
•         Coordinate the transportation of goods from our warehouses to/from manufacturing
•         Determines and coordinates with both Reefer & Dry FTL and LTL carriers the most effective lanes to pool distribution points and to optimize service and cost
•         Assist in the development and implementation of transportation strategies and plans that optimize delivery routes and minimize costs
•         Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities to optimize transportation routes and reduce costs
•         Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, vendors, and customers
•         Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that all transportation needs are met
•         Plan, direct, and control daily logistics and operational needs throughout the Supply Chain
•         Monitor and coordinate warehouse operations, approve cost/invoices and identify and implement cost savings initiatives
•         Work with Materials Planning to order and schedule delivery of raw materials needed for production processes
•         Help develop critical milestones and business processes required to support ongoing operations and future enhancements
•         Special projects as assigned
Compensation:
•         Full-Time Salaried Exempt
•         The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $80,000.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a few factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, stipends, equity, and role-specific perks.
Requirements:
•         A minimum of three years of professional experience in an analytical and logistics role within a supply chain setting or equivalent internship experience
•         Prior experience coordinating both Reefer & Dry FTL and LTL carriers required
•         Prior professional experience with Sage X3 or similar ERP experience preferred
•         Able to work cross-functionally among teams and allocate resources
•         Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to lead a team on multiple projects
•        Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, specifically in a supply chain environment
•         Solid knowledge of Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms
•         Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity, deeply understand business needs, develop a cohesive strategy and make decisions requiring a high level of judgment
•         Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter
