Description
Join our burgeoning beauty brand and become a fundamental member of our People Operations team. We are looking for a talented People Operations Manager (with recruiting know-how!) who will support functions for OSEA’s people leaders through the full employee life cycle: recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, development, and offboarding. Committed to attracting and retaining top talent, the ideal candidate will have excellent working knowledge of current best practices in the HR field, and will be a resource to employees with questions regarding company policies, practices and regulations. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the People Operations Manager will process, verify and maintain documentation relating to all HR activities such as hiring, training and performance reviews. In true People Operations fashion, this role will touch every aspect of our company to support our continued growth.
Employee Development & Performance: Work with the Chief of Staff to drive the performance management process; Support leaders in facilitating successful annual reviews; Facilitate annual review cycles; Assist with company training and education programs.
Onboarding: Manage the collection and documentation of new hire paperwork; Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires; Continually monitor feedback from new hires and hiring managers to iterate and improve onboarding processes; design strategies for effective remote onboarding and work to ensure new hires feel connected and set up for success in their roles.
Employee Relations & Offboarding: Facilitate the offboarding process; Conduct exit interviews; Field employee complaints, suggestions and questions.
Compliance: Stay up-to-date with state and federal labor and employment laws; Develop and implement applicable policies and procedures to reduce HR compliance risk; Provide support in the interpretation and implementation of OSEA’s HR policies and guidelines; Manage OSEA’s employment records to ensure all data is complete and accurate.
Recruiting & Hiring: Manage the full-cycle talent acquisition process from sourcing, to pipeline management, to offer negotiation and closing; Creatively source candidates from multiple channels including referrals, research, active and passive sourcing; Regularly meet with hiring managers to keep searches on track and in line with our company values.
Benefits Admin: Support the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs, including 401k, open enrollment, and wellness perks, etc.
Company Events: Support OSEA’s Office Manager to schedule training and development programs, and support with the development and execution of company-wide events and culture initiatives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in an HR role within a high growth organization.
- Passion for creating systems and structure to foster a values-driven culture and drive business performance.
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting.
- Experience handling confidential information, escalating issues when appropriate, and advocating on behalf of both the employee and the employer.
- Possess a highly collaborative approach and a strong focus on internal customer service.
- Possess the ability to build upon already existing processes and programs, leveraging data and feedback to continuously improve upon them.
- Experience with all areas of HR with an ability to administer key HR processes like recruiting, onboarding, and performance management.
- Skillful at establishing trust and credibility at all levels of an organization and building meaningful relationships with the team.
- Bachelor ‘s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of HR best practices and industry standards.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong listener and an adept problem solver.
- Experience with payroll is a plus, but can be taught to the right candidate.
- Experience with Culture Amp is a major plus!
- SHRM or other certification is not required, but a bonus.
Compensation Range
$80,000-$95,000
