Ideal Team Member
In this position, you will be accountable for the achievement of region and account-specific goals by building strategic sales plans, developing customer relationships, managing broker partners, and executing a trade marketing plan to drive sales and profitable growth through effective promotions, new item distribution and retail excellence. Seeking an accomplished, results-focused, and energetic sales leader experienced in fast-paced environments with a proven track record of consistent revenue and profit generation.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Grow and develop all Pete and Gerry’s brands and businesses across total southeast customer base.
- Lead and develop annual operating plans to deliver gross sales, net sales, share, TDPs and margin targets.
- Manage a complex network of brokers and distributors through meetings, scorecards, and clear communication.
- Deliver effective sales presentations to key customers and brokers by turning data into insights to drive distribution, promotional effectiveness, and overall sales growth.
- Develop and deliver against key customer strategic plans and ensure KPIs are achieved.
- Analyze data including IRI, and internal shipment data through BI.
- Provide accurate forecasts for volumes and revenue for assigned accounts.
- Attend trade association meetings and trade shows as needed.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and marketing to develop and align on clear communication and plans.
- Responsible for total food accounts and military in southeast region.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years regional or national sales management experience within the CPG industry with a strong preference for perishable foods experience.
- Experience with key southeast accounts, specifically Harris Teeter and Publix, required.
- Experience managing a broker network.
- Working knowledge of trade promotions, business math and forecasting.
- Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills.
- Superior interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Proven track record of analyzing, interpreting, and leveraging sales data (IRI, Neilson) to provide thought leadership presentations to the customer.
- Proficient in Microsoft office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
- Must be self-driven, results oriented, and able to drive sales while working independently.
- Travel up to 40%.
